With the abundance of information at our fingertips, the increasing connectivity of the global community and the growing possibilities of technology, it is an exciting time in human history to be alive! Our youth are natives to these recent advances and circumstances. However the power of young people is often underestimated and the strength of their voices are often unheard not only from older generations but from each other. Back in early 2015, as sophomores in high school Zoe Reifel and Gabriela Goldberg set out alter the scenery and change the status quo for local teenagers. They set out to create a platform for the youth to inspire and empower one another by sharing their ideas, innovations and discoveries. Thus TEDx Youth at The Funk Zone was born.
