The incredible people from Don’t Tell Comedy stopped by for a pop-up show here last Friday night. Don’t Tell Comedy has brought fun, intimate comedy shows to unique venues for the last year and a half. The group started in Los Angeles, and has spread to classrooms, rooftops, and bars of more than 25 cities across America.
Upon stepping into our creative space, all clocks changed to Island Time! Palm leaves and hula skirts adorned the walls, getting everyone in the spirit. The bride and groom pulled together to create the center-pieces and a photo booth. But here is the pinnacle of a DIY wedding, Doreen made her own dress. Yes, you heard that right. That gorgeous dress you see was stitched by the bride herself. As if the months leading up to a wedding isn't stressful enough, props girl!
We are so excited to have Miss Darla Bea on our team as our Queen "Venue" Coordinator and on-site DJ! She lights up the loft with her enthusiasm and makes us laugh with her sarcasm. She takes the cake for having the best costumes in the county and is well-known in the Santa Barbara community, often playing gigs several nights a week.
There is something so enchanting and romantic about a winter wedding. Having it right before Christmas when the entire world seems a glow makes it even more charming. With all the hustle and bustle of the holidays it's hard to imagine the stress of planning a wedding this time of year, but this couple and their family pulled it off beautifully!
